   An injured male hiker in his 30s from Missouri was saved after a lengthy overnight multi-agency rescue to find the man and get him to the hospital on   July 1,

   It’s that time of year when the long, hot days of summer are giving way to cooler, shorter days of fall.

   The annual South Dakota fall cycle of fires may have already begun for some of you around the state. We all know it is coming every year.

   How many times as instructors during training told everyone we can do this without bunker gear or watch as students did something wrong and not corrected it.

   It has been quite a summer. Last year in my little part of the world it was hot and dry. The crops had pretty well been done in and there was little to burn.

   The 146^th Annual MSFDA Conference and Fire School was a success!  First off, thank you to all the vendors

   Greetings Minnesota firefighters and families! Summer is winding down as I write this. The state fair is done and students are back to school or college.

   Sept. 7-10, 2023: Iowa Firefighters Convention, Iowa Falls.
