Midwest Firefighter

Here we are heading into the last month of summer, and I haven’t gotten in all the golfing I was hoping for by this time. Darn, don’t you feel bad for me? Ok, I know you don’t.

   Summer 2022 has been eventful.

It’s almost a tale of two states. In the east farmers have had trouble getting crops in because it has been so wet and out here in the west we can’t seem to beg a rain.

The Hinckley Fire Department, in conjunction with Pine Technical and Community College, conducted a training burn on Saturday, June 11.

I recently read an article where a young firefighter in another state has been arrested and charged for installing a couple cameras in the women’s locker room of his fire house.

Congratulations to all the departments that have been recipients of our SAFER grant! To date, we have paid out almost $400,000 for Health Screenings and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
