   It’s now April, and I’m sure we all are tired of this long cold winter and more than ready for some spring like weather.

   Well, where has the time gone? Nearly 23 years ago I was elected as your Secretary.

Isanti firefighters responded to a reported bar/restaurant with smoke showing on Feb.

   Happy “Spring”! We are very close to meeting our membership goal for 2023!  A second reminder was mailed out if you missed the first invoice.

   Mar. 4, 2023: Colome Fire Department’s Supper, serving 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Colome American Legion. Free will donation.

   As an officer, when I approach a structure fire there are a few things I look for upon arrival. The first is the extent of the fire. The second is the type of structure.

Denison Volunteer Fire Department performed a nighttime ice rescue drill at their local Yellowsmoke Park east of town on Jan. 25. It was a comfortable 18 degrees with a light wind.

   The 28th annual Iowa Firefighters Memorial service will be held on June 11, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with the Candlelight service the evening before on June 10th at 9 p.m.
