     Apr. 14, 2019: Lamotte Fire and Rescue’s Annual Omelet Breakfast, 7:30 a.m.-noon, Lamotte Fire Station, adults $7, kids 5-12, $3. Egg omelet with your choice of ham, sausage, cheese, green peppers, onions and mushrooms; grilled or cheesy hash-browns; applesauce; cinnamon rolls (from Mell’s Circle C); white or chocolate milk; orange juice; and coffee. Many raffles prizes. All money raised goes towards continuing education and updating existing equipment.

     Apr. 19, 2019: The Great Elberon Fish and Shrimp Fry, 5-8 p.m., Elberon Community Center, serving fish, shrimp or combo meals with baked beans, coleslaw and baked potato. Carry out and bake sale available. All fish fry proceeds go to the building of a new station. Bring a friend and support the Bohemian Brigade.

     Apr. 20, 2019: Mount Vernon’s Annual Fireman’s Breakfast, 6 a.m.-12 noon, pancakes, eggs, sausage and coffee, milk and water, $4 children, $6 adults. The Easter Egg Dash will take place as well at the nearby track field. Free to all attendees, with more than 3,000 individual plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes.

     June 1, 2019: Albion Annual Waterfights, ball diamond location same as last year, 1-1/2 hose, double elimination, 1st-3rd place trophies, adult and kids welcome. Registration 11 a.m., fights start at 12 noon.
