Buffalo Creek wildfire

     An aerial view taken on Monday, Nov. 15, of the Buffalo Creek wildfire south of Gering. The fire started on Nov. 14 in the Buffalo Creek Wildlife Management Area and by early Monday afternoon more than 2,500 acres were reported burned in Scottsbluff and Banner Counties. Panhandle Unified Command had been activated with Gering Fire Chief Nathan Flowers and Banner County Fire Chief Tim Grubbs heading that effort.
